The challenge

Although Assured’s flagship product, DataWorks, was already in use by multiple clients, the senior leadership team recognised the need to strengthen and streamline their operating model — particularly around their product development process. They also wanted greater clarity on product tiers and pricing.

With a strong client base and solid financial footing, Assured was preparing for a period of further signinficant growth. A new strategic partner was onboarding, an industry demo loomed, and pressure was building to define a compelling product narrative for internal and external stakeholders. They needed support to sharpen their product positioning, introduce structure to their product development process, and accelerate execution.

How we helped

Hyperact embedded within the DataWorks team, working closely with product and engineering to bring structure and momentum to their strategy.

Product definition & scope – Clarified the core DataWorks product offering and distinguished it from consultancy services, bringing focus for both internal teams and customers.

Pricing & packaging – Defined how DataWorks would be sold and delivered, mapping out key capabilities and pricing options for the mid-market ICP.

Feature prioritisation – Identified the minimum viable feature set for DataWorks and aligned development with the upcoming demo.

Stakeholder alignment – Co-created a strong product narrative to help secure internal alignment and stakeholder buy-in.

Process formalisation – Introduced a structured product development process, clarifying how ideas progress through development, including approval points and stakeholder engagement.

Execution support – Worked hands-on with the team to refine user story maps, track progress, and ensure deliverables were ready for production.

Release planning – Established a reliable delivery plan to ensure readiness and smooth deployment.
